Okay I think my LFS guy is pulling my leg. He told me I would be able to house a couple of these fish in my 20 gallon long planted tank. In the store they are about 1.5-2" He claims they are really slow growers and even at full adult stage they would be okay in that tank. Is there another type of EBJD I do not know about? Because all of my research online showed me they get awfully large.

20g is nowhere near enough for even a single JD, good catch not taking the LFS guy,s opinion, around 50g is suitable for a JD but a huge tank is required for a group of them.

I agree also...can't assume they know what their tallking about all the time, way to trust your research! I have 1-4" ebjd in my 75g along with a handful of tankmates,Dempsey is doing great...these are great fish&full of personality...
