Feeding Cichlids Pond Snails?

I have a moori dolphin, Dimidiochromis compressiceps , and a yellow lab. I also have a pictus catfish that does cleanup. Could I feed these guys pond snails every now and again? I would probably crush them up.

It won't hurt anything as a supplement to their normal diet. Pond snails don't survive long in my tanks, as the cichlids normally forage 'em anyways.
