I agree 100% with that I have sand in 2 tanks and gravel in 1 and the stuff that comes out of the gravel is distinguish. I do water changes 2x a week and vac the gravel. The 3rd tank is going to sand soon.

I just got done filling my 55 with sand

Its on my double decker stand.

Will i have change my filters. Right now im using 2 aqueons 55/75. I just added some filter floss to the tops of the filters. I do 25%water change weekly. I vac the gravel and yeah takes me about 10 to 15 minutes. I know i like the sand substrate better and if its more beneficial to them then i want to do the switch.
