First off thank you to those who let me know what filters they run to give me ideas of what I could be switching to on my 150.
We have a 150 with white sand and i think I made a mistake doing that. We run 2 fluval 305's and 2 (500 gph) powerhead sponge filters. Weekly water and filter cleaning. What I can't stand is how the poop stands out like a dog turd on snow. Do I go for diff filtration or do I pull some sand and mix something in with it? Thanks for any advice.

You could mix black gravel or sand with it. I actually like It a lot better then just all white or whitish browns. You could also get a powerhead to aim at the sand to keep the stuff from settling on it. But even that can become difficult.
