Fin rot or injury?

One of my EBA males has damaged anal and dorsal fin. The anal fin actually started as a pin hole and has since turned into what you see below. If it's an injury will it eventually grow back or should I be treating him for something? He is otherwise very healthy and spawning for the second time in a month with his partner.

I would think that is an injury from spawning.

If it's an injury it will grow back with clean water and good food.

I once had a pleco swim into my filter unit and lose half of his fin- 5 months later you would never know it had happened. You should see imrpovement from an injury in a couple of weeks.

If you think it may rot, watch for blackness/redness around the tears, which will indicate irritated flesh. that will need treatement with an antifungal agent.
