firemouth

We have a 35 gallon tank with 2 green terrors male and female and 2 firemouth 1 pleco. The oldest firemouth got along with everyone else but our new firemouth out grew the old one and picks on him if he comes out of his log.

We got a second tank to put the one being bullied in that's 24 in long 17 tall and 12 deep that's a 20 gallon. Could we put tiger barbs with him in 20 gallon? And how many? Or other non cichlid? Would appreciate any input thanks.

That's a 17 gal tank and not even big enough for the fire mouth. Also you say you have 2 green terrors in a 35. That is far to small the need a 55-75 as they are very territorial. I'd try to buy a tank of this size and move the green terrors and the larger fire mouth. Into it and the small one with about 6 tiger barbs to the 35 gal
