Fluval clermax safe

Is the fluval clearmax safe to use with african mbunas and is it affective?

Yes its safe to use, but are you having a problem with phosphates?

No just looking for somthing new to use have a little algae growth here and there but not major

While I have zero saltwater knowledge I see those guys using products such as that, I'd skip it and change more water unless your tap water is high in phosphates then I'd use it.
