Can any chemicals in fog juice used in the fog machines put any toxins in the water that could harm fish?

Glycols, glycerine, and/or mineral oil, with varying amounts of distilled water.

You do know that fog doesn't penetrate water it just stays on top of it so your tank would have to be half empty to even realize what's going on
Or you can go to lfs that have reptiles and purchase a "reptifogger" I use one for my gecko. No chemicals it just heats the water turning it to vapor.

I agree that would be the best and safest bet.
