What kind of cichlid? Different types have different diet requirements, just stick with new life spectrum brand. If its mbuna it prolly needs a lower protein content. I just started feeding the thera a formula.

Even mbunas and others with sensitive digestive tracts/special diets can get NLS exclusively. I would go with NLS.

This was the turning point for me on NLS when I was able to keep Tropheus alive without having constant bouts of Bloat, these fish could contract Bloat by looking at them cross eyed and since after switching to NLS I've yet to encounter Bloat again in any of my africans. Now every fish in the house(over 300) are fed exclusively on New Life Spectrum.
