frontosa cichlids

Ok, so i have been reading alot about them and it sounds like they are pretty non agressive. I was wondering if it is possible to keep them in a community tank: kribs, angels, loaches, boesmani rainbows?

I know the answer is probably no, but i may aswell ask.

One guy in my aquarium soceity keeps them in an indoor pond with small goldfish and he says they do fine.

I am just wondering. The tank is 118gal

While generally laid back and non-confrontational in nature, frontosas can be aggressive to their own kind.

And while not exactly 'aggression', frontosas are piscovores and will eat smaller fish given the opportunity (and a full grown frontosa can eat a 4"-5" fish).

Fronts also appreciate hard water & high pH (pH 8.2+) conditions (I'm not sure if the other fish on your list are suited to those parameters).

Just thought I'd add my 2cents... Frontosas are a docile cichlid compared to other africans. They prefer to have a tank of their own and will form a colony usually of 5-7 fish. The dominant male will lead the rest and frontosa tanks are a BEAUTIFUL sight here is a Forntosa tank that looks great pic...http://www.malawicichlidhomepage.com...a%20Tank-2.JPG
HTH and Good Luck

Short answer, No.
Long answer No No. One way or another, some of your fish will not be in their preferred parametres, not to mention the dietry requirements are totally different.

Ahh...nevermind...i see the tank was big enough.

Hmm...can you return the angels? Frontosa are beautiful fish. A 118g would make a nice African cichlid tank....
