GBR Question.... - Aquarium Advice

I was watching my GBR's today, and noticed most of them move their mouth's, but the one male that's with the female, his mough is always open. He seems to feed just fine, but is this common? When he takes food in, he doesn't close his mouth. But I know he's getting food because it doesn't get spit back out except for some small particles from his gills. So he is eating ok.

I have never seen that in mine. They keep their mouths closed most of the time, unless feeding. Has yours been doing a lot of digging in the sand?
