The eggs are very transparent looking with a gray hue to them. She's still laying & he's right there fertilizing them/rubbing on top of them as soon as she moves away.

Is this a good sign that the eggs are fertile? Or is it too early to tell?

She laid them on top of a piece of clay pot I have in the tank & I have an egg tank cycled and ready to go. Should I move the eggs now? Or should I watch closely to see if they start eating them then remove the eggs to the egg tank?

Wait until they start to gaurd them. Is your fry tank cycled? If not, transfer you filter cartridge over to it tonight to start up the bb and mive the eggs in the morning. Hope this helps.

The fry tank has been cycling since the last batch of eggs 4 weeks ago. I dosed it with methylene blue. she's still rubbing down on the clay and he's still doing the same after she does.

She's pooping while rubbing over the eggs fml is this going to cause a bacterial infection????

Should be fine. Just watch the language, people can shut down threads if they feel it's unnecessary. I would love to see the eggs or the pair.

Lol I edited it but not that that helps since u quoted it.

the spot is in the very back of the tank so I can't really get good pics but I'll try. & once I move the eggs I'll take pics.

The female is spazzing out right now swimming in 12 different directions in seconds almost like she's seizuring

They're almost barely visible but I'm sure u can see them if u look close

Beautiful fish. Good luck. I can't wait to find out what happens!

I just stole the eggs from them and put them in the egg tank. Here's the progress.

Is the temp high... 82º+? Try to place them where water flow is greatest.

Never heard of it. I've heard baby brine can be to big so I went straight for vinegar eels

The reviews about it were really good on amazon and I had a gift card so I figured id try it. I just bought some vinegar eels off of eBay. I like the idea of them staying alive in the tank & the tank being a lot cleaner.

I just checked the eggs & only 2 of them so far are milky white.
