Green Severum.

Anyone know about the behavior of Green Severums?
I got one about a week ago and he seems to be nocturnal or something because he hides under my filter all day except when I feed them. But as soon as I turn off the hood lights he will pop out and start swimming about like normal.

Anyone know anything about how they act?

What is he in with? What size tank? How big is he? He may be settling in.

He's with quite a few other fish. I have a 55g aquarium with:
2 Borlei
1 Venustis
1 small Green Terror
2 Picus cats
1 Firemouth
and a few more Haps

I feed them once a day, I give them pellets mostly but give them Brine shrimp, feeders, worms, and an algae flake every once and a while.
But he's probably about 3 1/2 or 4" so hes still Juvenile. But none of the other fish pick on him or anything that would make him stay up in there like that.

Thats quite a crowd. Give him some time to settle in and get comfortable. I have one about that size in QT, he is still wary when I get near the tank.

Some fish are just shy and tend to hide after being put in a new environment. Give it time. He/she will get more comfortable around you and swim out in the open eventually. My blood parrot was like that for a week or two.
