Help me sex my Texas Cichlid

This fish is about 2 1/2 - 3". When I bought it, the guy at the store told me it was a male. The more I look at it, I'm saying female....but hoping for a male.

Well the guy at the fish store had a 50/50 chance and was wrong, it's a female.

They're not the best pictures but males do not have black in their dorsal fins.

Is this a male? I believe now I have a pair. In fact the alleged female is wild about this. Lol !!!

That is a male.

And the female is chasing him around for 2 days non-stop. He won't succumb to her advances. Lol !!!

I usually use a light diffuser tank divider when I introduce a fish of the opposite sex, especially with aggressive cichlids.

That's not an option.
