Help new to all of this starting up a 55 chiclid and need filter help asap thanks

Hi I am off to get a new 55 gallon fish tank off Craigslist. The person gave me the option to take 1 of the 2 filters he has. My options are the

Penguin 330 bio wheel or

Whisper 30-60

Which one is better?

I'd do the penguin if it's in good condition. Otherwise the Whisper.

The penguin for now. They can be quite loud tho. I'd upgrade to an aqua clear in the future if you stay with hob

Great thank you guys I will go with the penguin . I also have a canister fluvul at home that I might use just haven't decided what I am going to stock with other then chiclids
