Had a pair of German Blue Rams but unfortunately one recently died. I want to get the remaining one a new mate but want to make sure I get the right sex. Sometimes it can be difficult to tell the two apart so I figured I would ask for help.
I've read up on what to look for but am still not able to tell. There is a pink area on the lower sides but it seemed like most of the GBR at my LFS had this. On one side of the fish some of the blue shines on the edges of the black spot which indicates female... While on the other side it's completely black.
The central fins have a slightly darker tinge of color but not sure if it's enough to determine female.
All the following pictures are of the same fish. Got the best I could it's not easy lol
