Help! - Sp44 has growth on face

my sp.44 has been growing this from his face for a couple of months now. Slowly getting bigger and bigger. He's my favourite guy so was really just hoping it would go away but shows no signs of it.
Has anyone ever encountered something like this?

Is it coming out of its nare/nostril? The fish looks healthy otherwise.
I haven't seen that before.

hard to tell, but looks like originating from beside nostril - not sure though
it appears to be tearing flesh a little as it grows though

Have you tried using any medications? Antibiotics?

no, never had to deal with anything like this so didn't know what to do
will get some asap if it might help

It will help if it's bacterial. Could be a cancerous growth also. Hard to say.

I agree salt bath, and get your hands on some Seachem Paraguard. Best treatment I have ever used BY FAR, and treats dang near everything without messing with PH, The Bio, or media.
