I hope someone can help
Fossorochromis rostratus (also known as the Malawi Sand Diver).
They're large-sized (12"+) sand-sifting haps and are called sand divers for their ability to completely burrow themselves in the sand when threatened (at least in the wild).
What type of substrate do you have?

We have gravel but have been thinking of doing half sand anyways thanks for the help we have a female too we bought the pair for $25 he is beautiful but we did not know what we had so I will definitely read up on them
