help with scientific names please.

Once a day. Their not fat when you look at them head on.
Now you've given them a complex and their on a diet....

That's what I was kind of thinking in those two. But that other my guess is red top hongi but I don't want to just guess.
I am in need of females for some of my males and I don't want just any female so this helps.

I think the second picture is either a red top hongi, Labridochromis sp. "Hongi" red top hongi - Google Search

or a

red top zebra, Metriaclima Pyrsonotos, red top zebra - Google Search

Based on the picture I lean more towards a RT zebra. it is often hard to identify similar mbuna species without having a a specimen to examine and compare to.

If I had to go either way I would also lean to the zebra side. When compared to my others in the tank his body shape is very similar and he really likes to shimmy around my female ob zebra. Not saying that's the deal breaker but just throwing it out.

Its probably a zebra then. the Hongi, like other labs, has a more pointed snout than a zebra
