Help with stocking

HI there,

I need some help. I have a 75 gallon aquarium with 2 yellow labs cichlids and 3 acei. My local fish store has Aulonocara Jacobfreibergi “Otter Point” and was wondering if it is ok to add. I did some research and i love those colors. Aulonocara Jacobfreibergi “Otter Point”

Welcome to AA Im not sure that i would want to put a peacock in with mbuna. mbuna in general are the more aggressive of the africans, where the peacocks are more mild mannered. I would suggest that you add some more acei and labs though, a good ratio of 1 male to 3-6 females would be best. Are there any other fish you have thought about?

I'll third that motion, while tempting to try peacocks in a mbuna tank, it's not worth it. I tried and well...it didn't end well. If you want peacocks it's best to start another tank for them. They just can't hang, from what I hear not even with just the labs.

Sorry, I forgot about this. I did end up buying some Saulosi cichlids.
