Hi I was wondering what the black spot on my oscar forehead is? It doesn't look like part of its natural pattern. Oscar is eating and swimming ok. 55gals with the oscar and 3 snails (not food). Nitrate 10, nitrite 0. Ph 6.2. Alkalinity 0 ppm. Ammonia 1.0. I have a photo attached.

looks like hes missing a few scales. it happens now and then. if it doesnt start to heal up in the next few days treat for hith

HITH doesn't appear overnight. It takes time to develop. That looks like he bumped into something.

Ok good, i was a bit worried. thanks for the info. I might put a few drops of melafix then for it to heal faster.
