I am curious about something. I think I have read in at least a couple of posts about holding female Mbuna hanging around heaters. It makes sense as I imagine warmer temperatures make for better quicker/development of the eggs. My holding yellow lab spends a considerable amount of time around the heater. Has anybody else observed this behavior of their holding female Mbuna(mouthbrooders)?

I don't think its the temp as much as a submissive behavior and mine is currently hiding behind the filter

I also thought that but she has many other places she can hide and she chooses to be close to the heater. I think Convict and Andrew M observed the same with their yellow labs.

I have two females holding that I have yet to pull out of my large tank. I just checked my cobue is right next to it and my white top hara is right under it. Weird I never noticed that before.
