Start with some L caeruleus fry - these are now over a year old. Parents are going on 4 years, so took about 3 years for them to reach maturity and start breeding. About 25 total fry in this batch;

And then some N. brichardi - these took even longer to start breeding, but once started they breed very regularly and often. Currently have three different broods each a few months apart.

So cool. They look AWESOME!!!

:thanks: for the pics

You are more than welcome.

Are you keeping the different brichardi generations together so you get to see their really cool system for defending the spawns?

No, the tank in question is a 100gal tank with about six adult fish in it. I started with 8 baby peacocks and 8 baby N. brichardi. I have three adult peacocks and three adult N. brichardi after three years. The N. brichardi have been reproducing for the last year or so, and I'm simply allowing the population to expand.

Would u be willing to ship any to me in the future?

In all honesty, the cost for me to ship from my area (I live in a rural area of Wyoming) to anywhere else in the U.S. would most likely drive the price just for shipping far above what you would pay for these same fry in a LFS.

Ok!

My Baby Black Convicts

They were born in February. I relocated them from my 75 gal till they are large enough to go back :)

I got that at walmart yesterday for $30. It's neat you can set one of six colors or set to fade in and out with all six. It's home to the tiny survivors of my big tank till they can fend for themselves :).
