How big do nyrerei cichlids grow up to?

I have had peacock and nyrerei, my peacock grew up to 4 inches but nyrerei grew up to only 2-3 inches. Why are they so small? They were raised in a 50 gallon

Depends on what variant...the Ruti Island for example are the smallest at about 3' while Makobe Island are the biggest at 41/2 inches
