How many fish can I fit in my 30 gal?

I have 2 black convicts 2 bumble bees and 1 catfish I also have a 50 gallon filter

WHAT! Convicts can stay they can be in a 15g IMO and be happy. IMO the bumblebees need a bigger tank but they will live in the 30g

They "CAN" get to be 6 inches but IME they rarely get that big.

I Don't know if it matters but I have many pots and hiding places

Possibly. It matters on the fish. IMHO it's all about the fish.

The bumblebees (assuming you're talking about Pseudotropheus crabro) need a 4' tank. They also need to be kept only with other africans. I think you'll be fine with convicts in a 30g. I kept some a long time ago in a 29g, which was a little on the small side, but a 30g has much more swimming room.
