Red belly convicts are females. Males do not get red bellies.

Not always the case with the domestic lines.

All most all female Central American cichlids with get a black spot on their dorsal fin. That in my experience is the easiest way to sex them. Convicts are one of them that can be sexed this way.

If there is any color other than black and white it is a female

Don't concern yourself with color it's not an accurate way to sex them. Look for the black dorsal spot, the only fish that this doesn't hold true for in Fire mouth and Jack Dempsey.

I promise you there are not any males that have a colors of a female.

Either way I'm not arguing that point with you. The OPs question has been answered.

I guess it's better that they were trying to argue sexing centrals with you and not hukit, that could have gotten ugly lol.

If you guys know fish... can you maybe help me figure out what kinds i have? I know i have three convicts, three sunshine peacocks, strawberry peacock, and two electric yellows. I am unsure of four fish. Two are just babies so im un sure if you guys will be able to tell yet or not, ones a bigger guy and kind of looks like the little guys (big guy is beat up, hes on his second life and a babys tail is growing back lol) the other one is yellow and has strips. The girl saod it will stay yellow or go blue depending on gender? Heres some pics!

Not to sound harsh but don't bother looking at the color of the fish to sex it. Look at the dorsal fin, if it has a black patch than it is a female.
