ID confirm

I rescued this fish from some stupid kid while I was shopping for a new tank on the classifieds. He had it in a thirty gallon, with a Jack Dempsey, a Six Barred lamprologus, a Convict, and a Electric Blue hap. It was malnourished, sunken gut, pitched fins, but had good colors, so I bought it off him. His tank water looked like crap too. Anyway, he was convinced that it is an SP44, meanwhile, I'm pretty darn sure it's a Pundamilia Nyererie. Am I wrong? Click image for larger version

By the way, it likes a million times healthier since I have had him.

Huh, so your thinking it's an sp 35, it does look very similar, although it looks exactly like a P. Nyererie I had before.

What is the difference between these fish? I.E. Pundamilia Nyererie, Hap. Sp35, hap sp44. Is it locations, and coloring? Are they a different Genus? Or different species?
