Picked this guy up yesterday at a lfs. Was in an "Assorted African" tank. Any info on him or her will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks. Got him at Petsmart. He's about 2 inches. He's similar to Pseudotropheus crabro (Bumblebee) but doesn't have the same bar pattern
 
Yea I have no knowledge on this fish by the looks of it. I think petco and petsmart both carry hybrids so it could be. We almost all have one lol! Hes a real beautiful fish though. Hope your new hybrid (if that he is) does well

It's an ob mbuna, the ob peacock which is what is more commonly seen is created from the ob mbuna. Several mbuna female species have the ob appearance.
 
Thanks for all the help. After searching I'm pretty sure it's a "maylandia estherae ob"
