Tpropheus duboisi or yellow banded tropheus.
A very tough and rugged cichlid from lake Tanganyika.T. duboisi is strictly herbivorous and feeds on algae in the wild and in the aquarium but will take flake, pellets and even live food.It is a quarrelsome fish that should be kept in a 1:4 male to female ratio but they do better in groups of 10 or more.
I would not recommend keeping this fish with Malawi cichlids because of its troublesome nature
However it is a beautiful cichlid in its own right.

The guy getting rid of it said it was a moori, a Dolphin cichlid but when I goggled that it didn't look like it.

Oh, ok. I knew I should check in with you guys to get the facts!

Thanks :)
