Bought this cichlid two weeks ago and the lfs didn't really know what it was called

I bought him and a female she is silver with a black stripe and they just had there first fry but have no idea what they are

It is most certainly a peacock cichlid and it's colour is fantastic

Looks like it could be a young red empress. Looks like its gonna be a very good example of them.

They are indeed a hap and are stunning when fully coloured.

They get up to 11ish inches and are African cichlids. Some recommend 75G tank.
