Think it's an African, maybe a mix?

Hard to tell from the picture, but it is an OB (Orange Blotch) variety of some type. A better close-up would help us ID it better.

Orange blotch is a color morph and in no way identifies the species. There are many species from lake Malawi that have this morph. Fuelleborni is one of the more common species that is seen in the hobby. A closer picture will help identify this fish.

Metriaclima zebra OB morph. Could be many possibilities OB morphs from zebra to estherae they all look pretty much identical and hard to tell unless you get wilds or F1's but its definitely a metriaclima species.
