Identify these apistos

I'm looking for some apistos but I really don't want the mystery hybrid "steel blues". I fear that's what these are but I'm no expert.

Considering how difficult it is to get the fish I want here (still waiting on those multies...) I may just settle, since no one is technically sure they are a hybrid, and at least they are viable hybrids. But can anyone identify, besides the species, if there appears to be both genders? I can't sex apistos and allegedly shipments of steel blues are often entirely male.

Then probably steel blues. Why must the fish selection in this area be so awful?

The LFS claims theyre macmasteri...

They are all steel blue. Stores will label them as whatever they were ordered as. Which is odd I've never heard of them being labeled as anything other than borellii.
