...that my mated angel pair have some issues. After several weeks of searching for a spawning site, they have chosen a blade of the jungle val.

Problem with this arrangement is the val is quite tall and now no other fish can come near it either at the top or the bottom without being aggressively chased away. Guess I'll just have to have a talk with them later.

It was pretty funny watching the female laying the eggs and actually bending with the val as she reached the top.

I've done almost everything I can to provide an decent spawning site...slanted rocks, amazon swords (their natural choice) and they insist on spawning in strange locations.

Unfortunately, the val was not prepped correctly and the eggs floated off almost immediately.

Too bad, you certainly have unique angelfish. They will get it one of these days.
