Bobo's post about the tank mates being larger than your jacks mouth was what I was referring to. Although it is pretty much the same with any fish, if it can fit in its mouth it's probably gonna be food at some point.

Find him a girlfriend and throw in some giant danios. They are fast enough to out swim him for sure. Plus....the constant movement in the tank is cool to watch.

Try silver dollars, if he's as passive as you say, sbout 4 of them should be a good number.
