Ok so I'm building a stand for the 55 and possibly the soon to buy 180 after Christmas .

New lights / clean tank out then

Decor : Central American river style

Driftwood with a rock scape
Plants ( NOOB ) ones lol

Substrate : sand

Filtration : (2) AC 70s untill I get my canister either an Fx6 or Eheim

Stock : A pair of Mog's Gold Mixteco's

Swordtails , hatchet fish , and maybe a group of large tetras

Am I missing anything ??

I like the buenos Aries , I'll do those and swords , no bottom feeders tho too poopy

The mixteco's will stick around the bottom and the swords make short work of any extra food.

That's what I was reading , plus any cat/Cory might get taking out in spawning lol

Not so much with the Thoricththys. They are like little puffy dogs, all bark and no bite. My pair would chase off plecos and swords but would never inflict any harm, they are honestly harder on each other than their tank mates.
