It's a polypterus senegalis and they max around 5 inches pretty sure they are the smallest of the polypterus species

I think I'm going to grow out my current stock a little more, still have some 2"ers. Then get one, I had a 16" bichir, and he ate or killed **** near everything. They say if it can't fit in it's mouth it's safe, but the truth I found, is that doesn't matter, if he can get a grip on it, it isn't safe. They are so cool though.

When mine was 5-6 inches it was taking out 2" fish.
