not really, but females are lighter overall, have a bit more yellow and maybe a couple less stripes? males get near black at full maturity, females keep a soft brown from what i know. but until then they are very striking.
have i tempted u?

My list of possibilities is getting bigger lol maybe i'll get them all.I'm beginning to wonder just how many cichlids I can comfortably fit in my tank lol.I so wish I had room for another big tank

u have a massive tank!! i always thought u were sorta understocked but the eye biter and auratus need good space.

Well in total I have 35 cichlids but most will not get over 6" and every time I go to a lfs I want more lol. (I must be strong and just buy the water conditioner I go for) lol
