Kenyi color

My kenyi was a beautiful purple color and recently it changing almost to a yellow tint. Wondering if anyone knows whats going on? Everything is ok with the water and the fish is actung no different than ever

You probably have a juvenile male and are witnessing the very early stages of the color transition they undergo (males eventually become near-solid yellowish fish).

I loved the dark blue of my kenyi but my alpha male is nice in his new orange hues.

She is definitely a he maturing to the adult colors.

i had the same issue .. this little f-er was one of my favorite blue fish & outta nowhere "she" turned yellow lol
