Okay. I'm now thinking of putting some gouramis, rams (which I've bad luck with), or kribs with an angelfish in a 29 gallon tank. I like snakeskin, pearl, and 3 spot gouramis. The lfs has some rams that are on the same city water I'm on and they look good and they have been in there now for a couple of weeks. I just don't like the short life span of the ram. I've always liked kribs.

So, I'm looking towards fewer, larger, less active fish instead of a school of smaller active fish that may not like the 29 gallon confinement.

Are these fish compatibilty.

I'd try a pair of Rams, perhaps avoiding gouramis with the angel. If you get kribs and they spawn the angel may get attacked badly.

If you get young Rams you should have a reasonably lifespan.

thanks mattrox

Thanks. I was wondering about angels and gouramis. Do you think boesmani rainbows and congo tetras will do well in a 29 gallon tank?
