Lip locking??

These are my two blue acaras.
I just moved them to there own tank.
I was wondering why they're doing this.
In their previous tank that didn't.
And can you tell the gender?

Lovers lip lock. Now they are testing each other to see if they can mate. You should have a spot to lay eggs ready. Depending on the species some slate or a flowerpot may do. Good luck!
