Looking for the right live plants!

I'm not sure which live plants to put in my cichlid tank. I was thinking Amazon sword! Any suggestions?

Val seemed to be common here the way it kept popping up at auctions but never tried it.

Perhaps java fern as well as seems pretty tough to me.

Cichlids? Depends on what species, many are hard on plants but you can’t go wrong with All types of Anubias

Your African Cichlids will likely eat any plant, including, Java Fern and Anubias. IMO, the Africans are more destructive to plants than Silver Dollar fish.

If you do swords, get bigger plants. Not the small starter plants.
