Hi Everyone,

We have had a male blue ram for about 4 months now. Initially he was purchased with a female as a pair but the female stressed out and died within a week.

A month or so ago we purchased another female which again stressed out and died.

Last night we introduced a "Blushing Red Balloon Ram" female into the tank. Our Male Blue Ram began flashing and attacking all of the other fish in the community tank. He was attacking our Gourami, Balloon Molly, guppies, oto's, everything. So we took the blushing red balloon ram out and he finally calmed down and now everyone are friends again.

What is this guys problem when we introduce females into the tank for him? Is he just overly agressive and displaying his dominance? I guess we can never pair him with a female or he will get too out of control again? Anyone else experience this?

Can we try 2 females or would that make it even worse?
