I have two breeding pairs out of my 7 adult convicts, but one of the breeding males for the last 3 days or so has been laying head first inside the flower pot they usually lay their eggs in. He literally swims in head first and lays sorta canted...
Whats up with that?

Is he fertilizing the eggs when he does this? Has he fought with the other convicts and is injured? (Convicts will protect their eggs to the point of death).

Fertilizing eggs

Tim, my pop said he saw the male fertilizing eggs, but there r no eggs in there to fertilize this time so I don't know if he's going through the fert ritual even though there's nothing there, but no, he's not injured. He lays in there till he sees someone walking past the tank then he backs out and swims around as usual. Then when no one is around, back he goes in the pot. I will start posting pics of my fish and what I am talking about as soon as I get my pic account figured out.
