I am looking to start a tank for some julidochromis transcriptus. This will be my first cave dweller tank. I've seen pictures of stacked rocks for the caves. I have a slab of marble that I'm considering cutting up and stacking. Does anyone dose any issues with this?

I've never used marble in any of my tanks, but I think it would look cool. I would make sure that no polishing, bleaching, or cleaning agents were used on it, and probably soak it for several weeks to leach out any chemicals before putting it in your tank, just to be sure.

It's been weathering outside in the rain for a few years now. I'm site the rain has taken care of any cleaning agents by now. I'll likely boil the pieces before putting them in the tank.
