Mixing Blue Rams and Gold Rams

Due to a recent bacterial infection outbreak, I now must contemplate some future restocking.

Is my 20 gallon tank too small to get 1 pair of Blue Rams and 1 pair of Gold Rams? I want to at least get a mate for my female GBR before she falls mysteriously ill.

Moved to Cichlid Discussion.

Gold and Blue are both the same species, just a different color morph (see here: German Blue Ram Profile.

That being said, two GBR's will be fine...make sure you get two females if you are not interested in them breeding.
