More Bolivian Ram Questions .....
Ok so as u all know i got 3 bolivian rams and they are doing good in my 29gal ... here is the thing sometimes they swim side by side in a pair or on occasion in the group ... but other times i see 2 of them like locking mouths and pushing each other .... should i be worried?

Nope, perfectly normal. could be that one might be a female. My males do it, and the female also does it when she get's PO'd at the males, lol.

That's one benefit regarding cichlids, you don't need to do anything...they will spawn with no outside help whatsoever. So long as tank conditions remain consistent, spawning is inevitable.

When my blue rams spawn, they take turns guarding the clutch of eggs, but it's mostly the male. The female goes out and chases down anyone that comes near them, while the male stays right with the eggs. Then all of a sudden, she will come in and relieve the male and he will go out and chase off any intruders or just swim around for a bit and then head back. It's really a hoot to watch!
