mouth wrestling bad or good?

well?? just when i thought i almost had my angel pairs figured out, the two koi started this game... of the four angels, each "pair" has one koi. now those have begun mouth wrestling, usually after lights outs. does this mean THEY are a pair?

Or they are establishing dominance, definetly a sign of maturing. You should get a pair soon.

the most interesting thing is that one of them has always been the most passive, timid fish i keep. now (s)he is seemingly very willing to "go a round" when provoked.

I have never seen my female cichlids mouth fight against each other or against a male; the males will do it for dominance and to show off for the ladies.

Interesting my pair does it all the time. I know they are boy - girl since I have had swimmers from them.
