i have a breeding pair of Satanoperca Jurapuri.

They normally are pretty good eaters.
One is still eating, but the other wont open it's mouth and nudges at the food.
this has been going for at least 2 days now.
The rest of the tank seems perfectly fine.

My first thought was brooding young
My second thought was a serious problem.

any input would be greatly appreciated.

Water change was done about 10 days ago

Well if it's was clamped away somewhere in a corner then I'd say it was getting bullied to such an extent that it is scared to come out at all.
However you said that it nudges at food?
If you can't see any visible damage on the fish then there is no reason to believe anything is wrong.
I just think your female is holding, give it a week and if no signs of pregnancy occur and it IS getting bullied, remove the fish and put it in a QT or HT alone to relieve some stress.
