Hi All Finally managed to get a tank I bought some led light, adaptor, casing and made the light myself very excited the setup is not yet completed may be by tomorrow I should be able to set every thing up Bought two way air pump with two sponge filter and a submerged filter too little confused thinking if sand is really required or should I keep only the rocks

Tank looks really nice but you are going to have to upgrade pretty soon for that midevil. Looks like a 40 gallon correct?

Its rimless and a bit tall for the regular 40 breeders that we see around... Maybe made by a special company, but o would guess its smaller.

But he is right. A Red Devil that is healthy will grow and inch a month easy. They need a tank thats at LEAST 4 feet by 1 foot, but preferably 18 inches by 4 feet.

It seems you love your RD. But if you want him to survive, you have to upgrade the tank in a month or two.

Thats almost a good size for a Red Devil... But i stress the importance of a bigger tank. A standard sized 75 gallon is best for a line RD.
