It's a Victorian species and surprising it was ok with an angel even for a little bit, they tend to be pretty aggressive

Ya I kept him because he is rainbow colored he is now in a 5 gal I am going to get him a ten gal when I can.

How big will he get?

They get 5" at least and prefer to be in groups of the same species, and will need a 55 gallon for a proper group IMO

I don't have the money for a 55 gallon tank so would a ten be good for just him? He is in a five gal now.

Like I said, no, a 10 is nowhere near enough room, I'd say 30 gallons minimum for just him, they need room to swim
